I’d say, it depends on the point of view. Certainly, JS is a heterogeneous field. Without any doubt. I wouldn’t argue that.

But you don’t need to know all the frameworks and libraries of that field. I regard it from the point: “What is the minimum set of tools I must use to create a full-stack app?” And this is quite homogeneous… at least from my very subjective perspective.

But let’s say it is not homogeneous. What would we need to do? I’d really appreciate your thoughts on the topic.
